Web Analytics

Overview of New Features in Google Analytics

In the last couple of days Google has announced various new features for Google Analytics. To give you an overview, we would like to present three improvements:

  • Demographics and interest reports are now available for mobile apps
  • Dynamic remarketing available for all verticals
  • Benchmarking

Demographics and Interest Reports for Mobile Apps

Demographics and interest reports for websites have been available for quite some time. Google has now made these reports available for mobile apps. To use these reports you have to make adjustments to your tracking code on every page of the app (like you know it from websites). The new reports are available after 24 hours.

Dynamic Remarketing Available for All Verticals

This feature actually is an AdWords tool and we have already reported on this on our blog. With dynamic remarketing you are able to target people who have already visited your website. You can configure this feature in Google Analytics at Admin > Remarketing on property level.

Benchmarking

Another feature that has been introduced to Google Analytics is benchmarking, which we had covered in an earlier blog post. Benchmarking allows you to compare your website with competitors and find your strengths and weaknesses.

Benchmarking Google Analytics

These new features allow you to get more information about your visitors and target them better.

If you have any questions to these features or to Google Analytics in general, write us. We will be happy to assist.
